The apartment had residents on record who had never lived there
The owner was selling his apartment and buying a new one at the same time. When we applied for deregistration, the register still showed his relatives as residents, although they had never been registered there. A technical error, but the buyer sees strangers in the documents, and a chain of two deals can collapse.
We filed a request with the Interior Ministry, proved the error and had it corrected before closing. Both deals held, and the apartment sold in 30 days. Since then we order the residents’ register on day one, not just before the deal.
